ALLIED PILOTS ASSOCIATION

ORD Chair & Board of Director

Call and preside at all meetings of the domicile and preserve order during its deliberations
Appoint all committees not otherwise ordered by the domicile
Authorize expenditure of the domicile’s governing funds
Enforce the Constitution and Bylaws
Supervise the activities of the domicile
Supply the Board of Directors with any information it may desire
Carry out all directives from the Board of Directors
As a Board of Director member one is responsible for governing the association and is the supreme policy-making authority within APA

Work in conjunction with the President on employment matters involving the Executive Director, the Sr. Director of Legal Affairs, and on the retention and/or replacement of the Association’s General Counsel

Oversee the creation and distribution of communication pieces from the BOD to the membership

Assisted in creating the National Communications Network (NCN) as it now exists
Wrote the NCN Subcommittee manual
Wrote and implemented NCN Training Modules used to train all NCN Volunteers
Helped develop and subsequently implement Concourse Conversations around the system
Write and assist in composing NCN Crosschecks, distributed to NCN Volunteers
Manage records associated with NCN Volunteer List, NCN Domicile Coordinators, NCN Training
Worked with APA IT to create NCN content, website, SharePoint, and more
Assisted in designing recruitment ads for NCN
Attend weekly Communication Strategy telephone meetings
Coordinated with and worked with other APA Committees, including Strike and Tactical Operations Planning (STOP), Strategic Planning, Family Awareness, Contract Compliance

Assist with planning and attended Visual Display of Resolves (VDRs) in DFW, MIA, CLT, ORD, WALL STREET, LAX
Worked as a communications liaison between STOP and National Communications. for coordination of media and comms regarding the events.
Picket Line Coordinator and Observer. Help facilitate pilots with lucking sharp in line and where to go
Attend and assist in educating prospecitve new hire pilot meet and greets at different recruting events around the country

Lead the NCN Subcommittee as Deputy Chair
Attend weekly Communication Strategy telephone meetings
Lead the updating of the National Communications Committee Manual and Communications Committee Manual
Assist in developing communications strategies and tactics

Conduct hearings and decisions regarding Policy Manual/Constitution & Bylaws violation complaints
Balance and Checks for the Association in general (Judicial Branch of APA)
